Aims and Scope

Journal of Digital Society (JDS) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal established to provide an interdisciplinary platform for research examining the dynamics of digital transformation and its multifaceted impacts on contemporary society. The journal brings together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to explore how digital technologies reshape social structures, economic systems, governance models, and cultural practices across local, national, and global contexts.

JDS focuses on empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented studies that investigate the social, economic, and institutional implications of emerging digital technologies. Areas of interest include smart cities, advanced communication infrastructures such as 5G networks, digital governance, and the evolution of cyber culture. The journal emphasizes research that critically assesses both the opportunities and challenges of digitalization, including issues of inclusion, sustainability, resilience, and societal well-being.

Note: The journal does not consider submissions with SLR type research.

Furthermore, JDS encourages interdisciplinary contributions that bridge technology studies with sociology, economics, public policy, urban studies, and communication science. By fostering integrative and forward-looking scholarship, the journal aims to advance knowledge on how digital innovation can support equitable social development and informed decision-making in the digital era.
